This area, with its very varied countryside, really is at the heart of Calvados and Normandy. It has the Pays d’Auge to the east and the Suisse Normande to the west, the Caen Plain to the north and the Orne Département to the south.
It is made up of 53 communities, with the main centres: Falaise, the "Capital",  Potigny with its history of mining and Pont d’Ouilly, village of flowers, gateway to the Suisse Normande with its undulating landscape.
